The turn of the century, Spanish-built Canal House is a restored luxury boutique hotel offering colonial elegance with just the right amount of sophistication. The house is spacious with three stories, containing three suites, a library and a large living and dining room. A New York Times "Editors Pick", the Canal House caters to leisure and business travelers who desire high quality service and the comfort of a boutique hotel. Canal House is the first hotel to be certified by Green Globe in Panama that proves their commitment to the environment and local community.
Originally built in 1893, Canal House was completely restored in 2005 and became the first high-end hotel to open in Panama's old quarter in over 100 years. Whether you are enjoying an exquisitely prepared breakfast in the living-dining room or watching a movie and browsing for a book in their library, you will feel right at home. There is even a self-serve honor bar stocked with the finest spirits. If you need to entertain, Canal House's main floor can host formal dinners of up to fourteen guests and cocktail receptions for up to thirty. If you require the ultimate privacy and service, you can even rent the entire house (please ask for more details).
