Gamboa Rainforest Resort

The accommodations at the resort consist of a 167-room luxury hotel and 36 one and two bedroom villas. The 167 deluxe, air-conditioned river front rooms, each offer spectacular views of the Chagres River and the surrounding Soberania National Park from their hammock strewn balconies, while the historical wooden 1930s era villas give you a chance to see what it was like to live in one of the former residences of the Panama Canal administrators. Though not as modern as the hotel rooms, they have been completely refurbished to add all the needed comforts like air-conditioning and a modern kitchen yet maintaining their original ambience and sense of history.

The Villas are 750 square feet 1 or 2-bedroom apartments comprised of a large living room area with 2 sofas, a kitchen, a dining table, a walk-in closet and a master bedroom with 1 queen-size bed. The 2-bedroom villas have a second bedroom with 2 double beds making it ideal for families. They are located a 5-minute walk or short shuttle ride away from the main facilities.
